Toughest Sport?

Toughest sports....which one should that be? I watched several sports this past weekend and started to wonder which one we should consider the toughest....also at the end of the video I would share what I remembered which sport my architecture teacher thought was the toughest.

Ohhh.... good question! I do like your teacher's thoughts.

For me, it depends on how you define of "toughest" - for far more dangerous such as high likely get injured or even death, I would have to say any kind of car racing, it can also apply to motorcycle racing.

But as for the most toughest sports to become success working as a whole team. I think I'm with what your teacher said.

It is never easy to make sure every student out of 200 to do it right, Jes was in band and he said it took them several months to practice just for two hours in one event. Imagine you come to practice 3-5 days a week for a few hours for several months before finally get ready for a couple of hours and then your done for good? I'd go insane!! Ha ha.

For hockey, it is toughest but probably not as toughest as it used to be because now with new facemask, mouth protection, etc so less getting serious injured, IMO unless someone decide to do something stupid.

Cool topic! I'm HUGE sports fan!!!

I would have to say Rugby for men would be one of the hardest sports. I cringe everytime I watch that one :)

For females, cheerleading to be honest. There are more injuries in cheerleading then ANY other sport. They get their neck broken, that scares me!

Golf! Takes a lot of your mental thoughts and of course, your physical ability of hitting it far, long, and straight. This is a dangerous sport, can get hit by a ball or even get stuck in a storm that involves lightning. Ever read the news where bystanders or even a golfer who were killed by a lightning on the course?

Seek, I should ask my 3 older sisters about it, theyall were in hs marching band...pretty big school.

Abbie, rugby did come up in my mind before I posted this. I see diff pictures of rugby action at a local bar that sponsors a team. Me join? Me too skinny and pushable.

Anonymous, only thing I'm very good at golf is slice, slice, and slice. I agree it's a mentality sport.

Interesting!! As I use to be in marching band myself.. Yes, if one mess up and it throws everything off..

I'm liable to agree with you hockey seem to be more dangerous than others.. But at first I was thinking football cuz too many tackle and it can break neck or bone or whatever.. So much physical contact to play in there.. Then you mention Hockey.. Yes, I would have to agree with you on that one.. :)

You did well at least you gave a nice smirk !!! Keep it up oh oh toughest sport try netball in australia.

TassieLady, never heard of netball so had to look it up on youtube, I went WTF...sorry, just that I've never seen anything like this here in usa....but very interesting. It looked like all the girls are wearing cheerleaders' uniform playing basketball (but no dribbling). By watching one 9 minutes video I think I picked up the rules pretty well. But there's toughness in that sport? I dunno. Thanks for introducing me that sport. Crikey.

Fairlady, you marched? made no deafly mistakes? at deaf school?

Tassielady said...

Well netball is one of the hardest cos you have 3 seconds to hold the ball as if you dont you are screwed the other team gets it so thats why its more of mind looking to find your team is free from the defender. Alot of running around too so i find netball is the toughest as i was a professional netballer myself and know it is tough even you have to make decision to throw to your team mate who you think it is free or not.

Toughest sport???

Ice hockey! You get banged up on walls and get into fistfights. Did you see in the news that one player got his neck sliced by one of his team player's ice skate blade and lost lots of blood, tough? Oh yes!.
Football players get to play more years than ice hockey players.

TassieLady, now I see what you mean. And I notice there's no basketboard along with the net. feet has to stay on floor when shooting? I just wonder if dunking is allowed.

DeafKathy, no I didn't hear anything about that neck slice....terrible...I remember Patrick Roy or somebody else crashing into the wall and get paralyzed, I wonder what he's up to these days. Glad I got someone else to agree with me that hockey should be the toughest.

How come I'm not getting any males (except Seek) to participate in this comment board??? I talked about SPORT in here!

Forgot this anonymous one...better be a male one.

Dunking is not allowed and yes feet have to be firmly on the ground and we are only allowed 2 steps and hold one leg up it can get confusing when you end up 3 steps then you get a foul. In the goal position the defender is not allowed to be close to 3 foot from the person shooting i play alot of defending position and they hates my guts lol *grinz*

LOL Well, I grew up going to hearing school til to 9th grade. I was playing the drum in the marching band.. I was only deaf student in whole school.

I goof up once or twice but not throw the whole band off. Just my group. With practices I got good at it.

At least I didn't have broken bones or bruise or anything.. Wait, I take it back. I had one bruise. But that is another story that you will have to find out from me later on. :)

I don't know why you not getting any males.. Maybe you are just way too cute for us females to talk to. Geo is sorta considering as a female version of a male.. lol I'm guessing you want more male friends.. I don't know where are they?? SOWWY!!

DeafKathy, the link you left on your comment isn't working. Can you leave the name of the player or tag words? I probably could find it on Yahoo search.

Lane said...

DK, never mind my recent comment....Richard Zednick? found it on yahoo with a video. Hope he's ok and able to play again.

Sometimes the link isnt clickable and will need to copy-n-paste the address in search engine (ie yahoo, google, whatever you like). Also there are short footage of video in youtube.com too. Not a great view and kinda "tummy-wreck" moment to watch it. Yes, you got the player's name correct. So, that officially shown Ice Hockey is a toughest sport!
